100th Day of Kindergarten, Mardis Gras, and Lincoln's Birthday
This year, Mardi Gras, Lincoln's Birthday, and the 100th day of kindergarten all fell on the same day. Students were given the opportunity to dress like they were 100 years old and the results were hilarious! The students counted 100 objects with their 4th grade buddies, counted by 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, and 20s, to 100, made a necklace with 100 cereal pieces, found a hidden message on a 100 board, and determined how many rolls of a dice it would take to reach 100. Students also tried Kings cake and made Mardi Gras masks. Wow! What a busy day in kindergarten but it was a lot of fun!!!! Watch for our Abraham Lincoln activities in a future post.
